About VPS

VPS stands for Viennese Psychoanalytic Seminar. It is an invention of Jacques-Alain Miller, through which he established a connection between the – originally New Lacanian Field Austria – now New Lacanian Field Austria – Initiative NLS Vienna and the Freudian Field. Gil Caroz and Avi Rybnicki were installed by Jacques-Alain Miller as the responsible persons for the VPS. 

In a VPS seminar, one of Jacques Lacan's seminars is worked on and studied over several meetings. The VPS series so far consists of three related seminars.

Lacan's Seminar X “Anxiety”

The VPS seminar (Part 1) for the year 2023/24 will take place on 13 & 14 October 2023.

Further seminar dates will be announced.

Teachers at all three dates:

Lilia Mahjoub, Avi Rybnicki and Gil Caroz.

The 3 seminars can be booked together or separately. In addition, work will be done in cartels on the topic.
